A straightforward and user-friendly odometer, GPS Odometer excels in accurately measuring distance traveled. This app is designed for various outdoor activities like walking, running, driving, boating, and hiking. It is important to mention that GPS functionality may not perform optimally indoors; therefore, it is recommended to use this app outdoors for optimal results.

Benefits of the premium version include landscape and split-screen support, the ability to track multiple trips independently, customizable notifications at specified distance intervals, personalized units readout for tailored data analysis (e.g., calories burned), an ad-free experience, and the option to export trips via email for future reference.

The app displays essential information such as distance, elapsed time, average or current speed, as well as straight-line displacement from the starting point (displacement display is optional). Users can select their preferred distance units from kilometers, miles, nautical miles, meters, and feet. Speed can be measured in kilometers per hour, miles per hour, nautical miles per hour, meters per second, or feet per second.

Additional features include an adjustable large font display, accurate measurements within 1 percent compared to most car odometers under typical driving conditions, a trip lock function to prevent accidental resets (with automatic re-locking or manual locking options), and an innovative feature that approximates distance in GPS dead zones like tunnels by adding the direct distance to your trip.

It is important to note that GPS Odometer operates in the background when left running; however, users should pause trips when finished to preserve battery life. The timer stops when a trip is paused. Changing the display layout is simple: tap the unlock button and adjust using the three green buttons that briefly appear. Users can switch the app language to English in the settings menu.
